Welcome to Sylvan Moon English Shepherds. We are a small farm in Northern Maryland who own and occasionally breed English Shepherd Dogs sometimes known as "The Old Time Farm Collie." Our dogs are our true "right hands" in the running of our small farm where we raise Saanen dairy goats and keep a large flock of laying chickens. Our English Shepherds are "chore dogs" and thrive on the routine and work that our farm provides. From rounding up escapee goats and keeping the same goats back from crowding me at feeding time, to herding the free range chickens into their coop at night and keeping all manner of predators away, even keeping the barn free of mice and other vermin.Aside from being our indespensable farm dogs, they are also our beloved footwarmers and constant companions, doing all that they do, out of extreme loyalty and devotion to their people.
